The Department of LAW was founded in 2010. It aims to impart knowledge and skills to the College of Business (COB) students through its highly qualified and experienced staff-members in order to fulfil the dream of national development plan. Department of Law provides students with a comprehensive range of courses that provide support to businesses in legal matters. And to prepare students with skills in commercial law, trade, company laws, purchase and sale of assets, development of the terms and conditions for businesses conduction and consumer protection, rules of fair trade, protection of the business from illegal actions. This is a very sensitive job, which require graduates acquired these skills of influence, skillful negotiation, and confidence in trial procedures. The Department of Law offers students a wide range of opportunities to play a role that does not depend on the domestic market only, but global markets as well. Complying with COB’s strategy the department of Law Vision and Mission are determined as follows:
Vision
To be the finest law department in Saudi Arabia whose graduates are well known nationally and regionally in relation to their skills in law and laws researches.
Mission
The mission of Law Department is to provide highly qualified students with a superior legal education. The Department seeks to prepare students for positions as advocates, and as business persons; and as researchers, teachers, and philosophers of the law. These ends are furthered by a practical experience. The Law Department emphasis leads to a special concern for imbuing students with the highest principles of professional, ethical, and moral responsibility. It is the philosophy of the Department of Law that lawyers best serve the interests of their clients, as well as the interests of society, when they possess a genuine commitment to high standards of personal conduct and professional responsibility. Therefore, the Law Department tries to convey to its students not only the knowledge of how to employ the law, but also an awareness of the responsibilities to society that accompany the power inherent in that knowledge.
Objectives:
Consistent with the objectives of the College, the Department will prepare students able to:

Understand the litigation process and participate in agenda regulatory.

Analysis of labor laws and its contracts and making proposals for reforming.

Understand the legal aspects of relations with creditors, debtors and provide financial property solution in case of default.

Knowledge of the concept of judicial control mentioned in conventions for Organization, and execute orders on time, and the issuance of protection orders, and special powers in the case of leasing, buying and selling.

Decision-making in the field of insurance and understand the dual nature of the insurance and contributions.

Skills of International morals and Ethics.

Knowledge of human rights concerns and responsibilities of companies in the management of international business.
Teaching Language:
The Teaching Language in Law Department is the Arabic language as it is the used language in most court procedures in Saudi Arabia.
Degree :
The graduated Student will be awarded a bachelor degree in law from King Abdul Aziz University.
